Featured Musician
Blaire Blackmon will be returning to perform live at the Market. Since her first appearance at HMD in 2010, we have watched Blaire Blackmon grow as a woman and an artist before our very eyes. Her music reflects the diversity of her tastes, from Katie Perry through John Mayer to AC/DC, and beyond. Please come meet and listen to this very talented trobairitz (look it up!), recent Pelham High grad (and marching band member) and newly-minted Jacksonville State freshman. You won't be disappointed!
Featured Charity
HMD will welcome International Cultural Exchange Services (www.icesusa.org) to the market. ICES is seeking local families interested in hosting international high school students, ages 15-18, from Europe, Asia and South America for the 2012-13 school year. Students have their own spending money and insurance, and a local ICES area representative provides supervision and support. Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding way to experience another culture without ever leaving home! For more information contact local area rep Brittany Ortiz at 205-617-4438 or come meet her at the market this weekend to discuss the program in person!
